Having all that you need

awarmplacewithin.wordpress.com
I often couple this verse [2 Corinthians 9.8] with "sell your possessions and give to the poor" [Luke 12.33]. There's no compromise--you have to give up everything you have to the Lord and his work. But Paul told the Corinthians to set aside "all that you need." And then after, what remains is for abounding "in every good work" at all times. Then God will bless you abundantly.

Read the whole passage in 2 Corinthians 9.8 and you'd see what I mean. Just set aside what you need (not want)--for paying your bills, food, for the schooling of your kids, insurance, and savings--and then whatever remains (including the tithes) should be used to abound in every good work. That's godly stewardship in Christ.
