Subdue it and have dominion
God told Adam and Eve to subdue the earth and have dominion over all creation--specifically the creatures in the sea, air, and land [Genesis 1.28]. We have power over creation, but somewhere along the way, that was lost. But God wants that recovered in Christ, the Second Adam.

Imagine having dominion over the fish in the sea and the birds of the air. I'm just wondering, how can you have dominion over sea creatures if you can't last 30 minutes underwater? What more if you have to rule over them at 2,000 meters below sea level? And how can you have dominion over the birds of the air if you can't fly?

My theory is (and I'm serious about this), Adam and Eve could breathe naturally underwater even at great depths and they could naturally fly. They could also command every creature on the planet and they obeyed. But all these were lost during the Fall. But they can all be recovered through Christ's redemptive act. Jesus said, if you believe, nothing will be impossible for you [Matthew 17.20].
